Weight loss after C-section delivery is not easy.

There are many things that the body need to deal with after caesarean delivery such as wound infection, inflammation, backaches and many others.

Well, despite all these problems another big issue is the Weight Gain.

This is a common problem that every woman faces after C-section delivery.

During pregnancy, the body went through various transformations to grow a baby and you can observe a pouch-like area near the belly, this is very complicated to lose after delivery.

After the Caesarean delivery, you are not in the position to work out hard in the gym or go on a low card diet to lose belly fat.

But this doesn’t mean it is impossible to lose belly fat after C section delivery, there are some effective natural ways that will help you to reduce tummy fat after C-section delivery.

Well, this might take some time and work to get in shape back.

Below check out some of the safe and natural ways to flatten tummy fat after C-section delivery.

Ways to Reduce Tummy after Caesarean Delivery Naturally

1. Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding is one effective way to lose belly fat.

In research, it is clearly mentioned that a mother who is breastfeeding can burn up to 500 calories per day.

You can burn more calories to produce milk for your baby.

The milk production by the mother is healthy for the newly born baby so feed your baby for at least 6 months.

And also trigger contractions that shrink the uterus and this is the best workout for the whole body.

2. Utilize a Tummy Binder

A tummy binder is very helpful to reduce tummy after C-section delivery.

This is an old age process to tuck in the belly. The post-Caesarean tummy binder is made up of an elastic or muslin cloth, just like a bandage.

Making use of it will help you to push the belly inside, and promote flat tummy after a few days of use.

This can be used after 2 months of Caesarean delivery, as the tissue can cure sooner.

3. Drink Plenty of Water

Drinking lots of water is a good way to lose weight and in many of my earlier blogs, I am mentioned this.

Drinking water can help you to flush out the toxins and excess fat from the body.

After the C-section delivery, drink as much water as you can for maintaining the fluid balance and as well as preventing overeating.

So drink at 10-12 glasses of water daily to keep your body hydrated and speeds up the healing process.

4. Drink Lemon Water

Lemon water is the best natural way to lose belly fat.

And drinking lemon water once daily after Caesarean delivery is safe to detox and reduce tummy.

All you need to do is take lukewarm water, add some lemon juice and honey to it.

Mix it well and drink it in the morning daily before having your breakfast.

The lemon and honey combination with lukewarm water melts the fat and reduce tummy naturally.

5. Eat Right Food

Commonly a woman needs at least 300-500 calories to keep the body healthy and function properly.

So, after delivery, it is essential to eat the right food to get good of protein and energy to get the strength back.

Eat lots of fruits, green veggies, milk, eggs, and high protein foods to get the minimum requirement of the body.

In the first six months of pregnancy, the body conceals the pregnancy hormones and this permit the body to gain weight easily.

So, it is important to eat the right food, avoid eating junk and unhealthy food.

6. Do Kegels

Doing Kegels Exercise is very helpful to tighten the pelvic floor.

After 6-8 weeks of C-section delivery, you can start doing the Kegels exercise.

During pregnancy, a lot of pressure was put on the pelvic muscles due to added weight.

So, doing this is very beneficial for you.

It is easy to perform; just tighten your pelvic floor for 5-10 seconds just like breathing in and out. Repeat this three times a day.

You need to tighten your muscles just you would when you try to hold on your pee.

7. Go for Walking

After the C-section delivery, you are not supposed to work out hard as this might take a toll on the stomach and muscles.

So here you need to carry out easy exercise and walking is BEST of all.

Walk daily for 30-40 minutes for 5-6 months after delivery.

This is a low impact exercise and helps you to boost metabolism and burn extra fat in the body.

You can also increase the energy level and prevent body fat from storing in the body.

8. Utilize Postpartum Support Belt

To shrink the tummy makes use of the postpartum support belt.

This helps you to tighten the lower abdominal muscles, and reduce the tummy.

Not only this, but it can also help you to reduce the back pain.

This is the reason the postpartum belt is recommended to lose fat from tummy after C-section delivery.

Note you need to use the belt after 2 months after the delivery. And can remove it while eating and sleeping.

9. Get Enough Sleep

Getting at least 8 hours of sleep is necessary for healthy living and weight loss.

Well, I know this is not possible to sleep for 8 hours at once with the newborn baby, so take out time, when the baby takes a nap, you also take a nap.

This is not only beneficial for losing baby weight but also improve emotional health.

Not getting enough sleep releases cortisol hormone, this is a stress hormone.

And this is linked with weight gain, so try your best to take the good amount of sleep.

10. Stomach or abdominal Crunches

After six to eight weeks to C-section or taking advice from your doctor, you can start performing abdominal crunches.

Stomach or abdominal crunches have several variations; start with simple stomach crunch, leg raise crunch and vacuum crunches will help you to reduce tummy at home.

11. Massage

Massage is very advantageous for post-pregnancy massages.

And it is not harmful to get a massage after C-section delivery also. Just wait for 2 weeks after C section delivery and after then you can take the light massage.

This is a period when the complication related to surgery surfaces. But you need to keep a couple of points in your mind.

In the initial days avoid abdominal area message and concentrate on back, legs, and hand.

After 4 weeks of surgery, the body heal, and the scar tissues start forming.

You can lie on the tummy without pain and focus on the massage in the abdominal area.

The abdominal area will help you to reduce belly fat and lose fluids in lymph nodes, by reducing waste.

This time is very critical and the body needs proper nutrients and proteins so eat the right food and avoid doing heavy workouts, this can harm your body.

Instead, follow the natural ways, this might take some time but are safe and you can lose weight in a healthy way.
